As an AKRAB member, I voluntarily facilitated a session on Effective Presentation Skills for university staff, adapting lessons and experiences gained from developing soft skills programmes for undergraduate students to a different learning context.

Participant feedback serves as an important reminder that learning can occur at every stage of one's professional journey. Knowing that the session was perceived as useful and relevant was both encouraging and rewarding.

As part of my voluntary service as an AKRAB member, I shared reflections on gratitude and its capacity to strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and meaningful connections in the workplace.

Gratitude is most meaningful when it is practised. As part of the session, participants created simple gratitude boxes from A4 paper and filled them with small notes of appreciation, creating a personal reminder of life's everyday blessings.

The true impact of a session is not measured by the number of participants, but by the reflections it inspires and the connections it creates. In many ways, I left the session learning as much as I shared.

Small notes of gratitude, when brought together, formed a flower—a simple yet powerful reminder that appreciation often grows through shared experiences. 🌸

Serving as an AKRAB volunteer in an Art Drawing House-Tree-Person (ADHTP) session provided an opportunity to learn from experienced facilitators while supporting participants through a reflective and engaging process.

Professional roles may change, but the values that bring people together often remain. Having worked closely together in the Undergraduate Office, it was a joy to reunite as fellow AKRAB members, continuing our shared commitment to supporting and uplifting others.

In this session, I was reminded that simple questions can sometimes lead to profound reflections. When individuals are given a safe space to pause, reflect, and share, meaningful conversations often emerge in unexpected ways.

Learning becomes more meaningful when people feel connected, engaged, and inspired to participate. This session with MSU students was filled with energy, curiosity, and shared learning.

The session was designed around a simple question: What would I have wanted to know as a student preparing to enter the professional world? The answers shaped both the content and the conversation.

What began as a simple addition to the presentation soon became a familiar companion in the learning journey, reminding participants to keep smiling, keep moving, and keep growing.

Learning is never one-way. Facilitating this Financial Management (Basic) course provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and gain valuable insights from participants, including those in leadership and management roles within SME organisations. The experience also contributed to my professional development journey as an HRDC-accredited trainer.

Financial Management equips participants with practical approaches to understanding financial issues, evaluating options, and making informed decisions.

Knowledge becomes meaningful when it is applied. This HRDC-approved programme concluded with a practical case exercise that challenged participants to analyse workplace issues, consider multiple perspectives, and communicate their recommendations effectively to senior management and stakeholders. programme concluded with a practical case exercise that challenged participants to analyse workplace i

It was an honour to be invited as a speaker by KOL Academy. What began as quiet reflections shared on social media during retirement eventually led to this opportunity. In this session, I explored the reflective journey of finding and expressing an authentic voice—one that is grounded in personal values, experiences and self-understanding.

Despite being conducted online, the session was rich with engagement, reflection and meaningful conversations among participants.

Baby Saggia appeared as a gentle companion throughout the session, reminding participants that authentic expression begins not with finding new words, but with listening to the voice that already exists within.
